Out and about

Today i went strolling around Maastricht. At first i wanted to do a outfitpost, but it was just to darn cold out!  I went to this old and abandoned  factory where people get together to spraypaint the walls. The fun part is that the walls are different every time you go there.

New arrivals

So the past few days i did some free shopping and some not so free shopping. I had a giftcard waiting to be used. And so i did. With my H&M giftcard i got from my former co-workers at s.Oliver as a goodbye gift i bought this gorgeous light blue/ minty blue asymmetrical blouse. It's just absolutely perfect and i will be wearing this one alot.

The second free buy was the snakeskin printed trousers from Zara. I had been wanting these trousers for a while now, but they were completely sold out as well on the internet as in the shop. But last week i was just surfig the internet, visiting the Zara webshop and salecorner and 'Hello!' there it was, my size and 30euros cheaper!

The 3rd and final free buy was at de Bijenkorf. I had a giftcard laying around which i had almost forgotten. But finding it this morning turned out to be a really good thing. With my giftcard i bought a panty with tigerprint. It's not something i will be wearing every day, but it will be exciting to come up with different outfits over and over again.

Okay, so now on to the not so free shopping i did. It may have been 'not so free' but these pieces are 'oh so fabulous'. I bought these pieces at Stijl Maastricht, my workplace. Working here is tempting because we sell so  many gorgeous and well made pieces! The dark grey ankle dress is from BZR Bruuns Bazaar. The fabric is beautiful and so comfy, which is an absolute characteristic feature of scandinavian brands.

And last but definitely not least is the gorgeous leather jacket. I love it that it doesn't have a collar. It's tough yet very feminine. The back is made out of cotton, so are the pockets on the front. This jacket is from Selected Femme. If you don't already know this brand, get to know it! I'm in absolute love with Selected Femme. This brand is differen t, fashion forward, and sophisticated with an edge. If u would like to see more of this brand, you would be at the right adress at Stijl Maastricht.

Naked

Everybody's staring at you, laughing at you behind your back, your mood changes, you feel different and especially unattractive, sunglasses are your friend and being publicly seen at this moment is your worst nightmare.

Ok, so do you feel like this when you have no make-up on? Then girl, i got to tell you something! Stop hiding and apologising for who you really are! Okay okay, i admit! I do feel like this sometimes when wearing no make-up. It's just not me in some strange way. But then again, it is me. It's me, the way i was ment to be, the way i will always be.

Every night we take off this mask and become our true selves.
And to some people the face in the picture above is familiar. But to many, many people this is a new Maxime. (I hope i didn't scare anybody off, by the way) I hope you can appreciate this post, 'cause it wasn't that easy to expose the real me, i'll tell you that much!

Pretty young girl

Only 10 years old and already a Vogue model. Among her modeling work Thylane Loubry can count a cover of Vogue Enfants, several ad campaigns for high fashion brands and a fashionspread in Vogue Paris. Last but not least, when she was just 4 years old, she walked in Jean-Paul Gaultier's 2005 spring-summer show.

Lots of people where outraged by the spread in Vogue Paris.
(See the last picture) It was wrong and disturbing, according to them. I personally think this spread was ment to provoke the reader to think twice about the fashion industry's treatment of young girls.

I was actually stunned when i first saw this girl in French Vogue. She looks so mature, yet so fresh, untamed and free like only kids can be. She reminds me very much of a young Brigitte Bardot. I kind of hope that we will be seeing more of Thylane in the future. What do you think about young girls being in the fashion industry?
